Well I’ve decided to do another word prompt thing! I’m really liking these ^ ^ Well, here goes! I hope you enjoy!

A girl stands near the edge of the cliff, watching the waves break on the rocks below. The wind howls pitifully, trying to push her, but she doesn’t move. Her hair whips across her face, temporarily blinding her, but she doesn’t blink. She looks to be about sixteen, wears a simple white dress which is torn at the bottom. Her wavy hair is as black as soot, and she wears nothing on her feet. Her eyes are a beautiful shade of green, dark and piercing, with pupils like a cats. An amber coloured snake is draped across her shoulders and curls round her wrist, forked tongue flicking out, tasting the air. At her shoulder blades there is a pair of black wings, the feathers ruffled in the wind. She looks out across the sea, and softly sings a song…

‘It’s been so long

Since I have gone

Now that young boy

Called John, well he is long gone

And he is a man across the sea

No longer the boy who pushed me

Off these cliffs he threw me

And so I’ll sing my song

Until he shall die

And then I will find him

And make him wonder why

He ever took from me

My life’
