I don’t know what drew me to write this poem, or call it Megan. But it just seemed to fit! What do you think happens after the end? It’s up to you.

Enjoy! ^ ^

Your eyes met mine full of light
On that fateful December night
Your hair was as blue as the sea
You looked like an angel to me
I watched you through the crowd
And when over us came a cloud
You danced in the rain
As if you had never known pain
But it was so clear you had
I knew your life had been bad
You danced over to me and took my hand
It was all I could do to stand
And unfortunately it was true
I found as I danced with you
Given half the chance
We would have had a romance
But after a long hour
The light rain became a shower
You leaned in and kissed me
But I knew it was not to be
And I’m afraid I have to say
The world just doesn’t work that way
You ran off into the darkness
I was filled with bitterness
What I did not  know
Is what lay further down the road…

  1. This was such a beautifully written piece! ❤
I absolutely loved your descriptions and how vivid they were; I could see your poem come to life before me.
Looking forward to reading more from you!
