A Love Yet To Be Lost

Hey guys! 🙂

I tried something a little different here, as I’m weaning myself back into rhyming for a while, so I hope you enjoy! ^ ^

A Love Yet To Be Lost

The light falls softly upon delicate skin

Her painless face something much admired

Out her eyes shines a glow from within

Subtle curves something to be desired

Her smile could lift the spirits of the broken

And her red hair curls effortlessly

Her hidden wisdom is seldom spoken

And sometimes she stares at you expressionlessly

That’s when you must take her in your arms

Wipe away her falling tears

Remind her of all her charms

Tell her you wish to be hers for years

And you are, hers for all eternity

This love you are feeling will not cease

But you are in no way worthy of pity

You fell in love not with ease

But slowly, like how you fall asleep

One day she might split your heart at the seams

Still, she is a treasure you may keep

Forever with you in your dreams
