Heart Breaker

“Sometimes you have to forget what you want to remember what you deserve.”

~ Unknown

Heart Breaker (originally a song)

You stole my heart with no effort
One laugh from you
And my walls, they fell down
Down to the ground

We danced in the sun
We danced in the rain
We sung our songs
And my happiness
I couldn’t contain

You held my heart in your hands
And your fingers, they had the strength
To crush it with just a touch
But you didn’t
Until you did

You ran away
And to this day
I don’t know a thing about your life
You dumped my heart on the way
And I haven’t found it yet

I was a game you liked to play
And I realise I shouldn’t have been so blinded
But you were my sun
So who can you blame

I followed you round like a puppy
And I truly am sorry
But you had my

And I didn’t realise
How angry you’ve made me
I’m like the devil, I’m raging
I had a dream yesterday
That you came back and held out your hand
But I said nothing
And I just turned away

Because you never deserved me
