Metaphors In Runic, Part X

Hey everyone! this is the final installment of Metaphors In Runic, but don’t worry, I plan to make other series! Thanks for sticking with me all this time! ❤

For the first time in weeks, I’m happy. I slept well (also first time in weeks) and it feels like something has woken up inside me, like a fire catching from a tiny ember of hope I just about managed to keep.

The heat of the flames warms my face, wrapping around me, a snuggly duvet of happiness.
Tomorrow, the sun will rise, and I shall rise with it. I don’t mean get out of bed, who do you think you’re talking to?!
But yeah, my spirits will rise.
I know it, as well as I know myself.
I’m back.
Despite what others might assume, I did nothing to influence these changes. Circumstance changes nothing. My brain is finally letting me go.

My point is, I went swimming today, and I felt the water on my face. Know how that feels? Pretty good, if you’re wondering.

My happiness is a phoenix rising from the dying ashes, lighting up motivation and productivity, and I’m going to hitch a ride on its back.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a phoenix to ride.

Ciao!! 🙂 ❤ ^ ^
