I Like You

I Like You

Every time I see you
It’s like I ate butterflies for breakfast
This is new, I don’t know you well
But imagining your hand in mine
Makes me shiver
A smile, then sadness
For I fear I will never feel it
Still, every sneaky glance
At your beautiful face
Brings me joy
Every time your eyes meet mine
I’m thankful I’m not a blusher
Because if I was I’d turn cerise
Anyway, I’d love to know you better
So I’m gonna try
But I just want you to know
I like you
