Meeting Music Again

There’s something quite magical about rediscovering something you’ve always loved, and loving it even more.

I was raised on music. There was always music playing, I honestly don’t think a day went by when I didn’t hear a song.
As a result, music is woven into the tapestry of my soul, and I couldn’t live without it.

Since last December, I’ve been exploring my musical… I’m not going to say talents, I’ll say inclinations… anyway, I’ve been singing a lot more since, polishing my guitar skills. I go through phases – for most of this year so far, I’ve been writing.

But… cue July. Wow! Suddenly, I can write songs! With different tunes!!
I can sing much better too. The motivation, randomly, is there.
I’ve learned four songs on my (confused, previously neglected) piano in the past two days.

But the best thing from all of this is the change in how I hear music.

Tonight I’ve been listening to some stuff from my childhood, and suddenly, instead of being just a song, suddenly it’s a guy singing into a microphone, people harmonizing in the back, a guy on the drums, a bassist, someone killing the guitar, a genius pianist…

Music has come to life…
I haven’t felt joy in quite a while, but I’ll confess, today I’m feeling it 🙂

Oooooh!!! Now I think of it, I can actually hear from your voice that you’re a good singer ^ ^ (I’m very good with things like that 😂)
