The Good Things

I was lying on the sofa one day, and the light came through the window like this… I thought it was pretty symbolic, so I took a picture πŸ™‚

I remember when you came down the drive… honking the horn, yelling out your greetings.
The sound I’d been waiting for…

I ran into the kitchen, dancing and screaming, “THEY’RE HERE!!!”

All those days spent at the beach, laughing, never not laughing. Singing, writing songs, performing in front of everyone and getting applause.

Your poem, everyone dancing, when you sung that song which always made me cry – and that one night, when we put eyeliner on everyone…

The way you told stories that had all of us in stitches, and how when you put pencil to paper magic came out…

The hugs. My favourite thing… the best thing.

You did save my life, and I won’t forget that.

I wish you hadn’t ended up being the person that made me want to end it, but though it’s hard, I won’t forget the good times we had.

  1. I’m loving reading your poems, they’re great!

I think we have a similar style in many ways, although your talents far exceed mine!

I’m chuffed that you found my ramblings here so that, in turn, I’ve found yours.

I look forward to reading more!

Your poem “You Know Who You Are” – I read the first line and started laughing so much because I literally wrote a poem exactly like that last night πŸ˜€

I'm also hugely humbled that you think my writing is good! Yours is undoubtedly better πŸ˜‰
