True Colours

True Colours

I’m lost for words
Because you’ve done it again,
Just when I thought
You might stop
No, you did it again
I’m your punching bag
And I bet it never occured to you
That taking the anger
You feel because of me
Out on me
Won’t get me back
Hon, don’t get me wrong
I thought we could try again
For a little while
You were perfect
Then you reminded me
Why I left you
And you do that without fail,
Every time we talk or meet.
