My Beautiful Memory

My Beautiful Memory

I love the way you look at me

Like I’m worth looking at

Like you can see the real me

Thinking of you makes me smile

Meeting your eyes makes me happy

Your gaze makes me feel beautiful

More like acceptance than appraisal

Around you I feel at ease

I assume a casual honesty

No judgements made

There’s no pressure, no demands

Perhaps what I like most about you

Is that I don’t love you,

And I’m not expected to

Thus, the time we spend together

Is a precious jewel I will cherish

One that gives me hope

Our easy companionship

Is one I’ll always remember

And another thing –

Those beautiful eyes of yours…

I won’t forget them, either. ❤
