Sister By Blood

Sister By Blood

Late at night, feeling torn
Feelings blended like a smoothie
I’ve never been good at knowing what to say
Still, I always found a way
But with you I falter
My smile drops
The words die on my lips
I thought I knew you
I really didn’t
And yes, you hurt me
Your words still sting
But what’s it worth
To be angry
To let my fury blind me
No, I have no sympathy for you
Yes, I’m still angry
But I’m trying
And that’s what matters,
In the end.
